Annual Benefits Enrollment at BetterHealth
Each year, BetterHealth offers an open enrollment period where you can enroll in or make changes to your benefits selections.
Enrollment Timeline
- Enrollment Period: November 1-30 annually
- Coverage Effective Date: January 1 of the following year
- Decision Deadline: 11:59 PM PST on November 30
Available Benefits
During open enrollment, you can enroll in or change:
- Medical Insurance (PPO, HMO, or HDHP options)
- Dental Insurance (Basic or Premium plan)
- Vision Insurance
- Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
- Life and AD&D Insurance
- Short-term and Long-term Disability
- 401(k) Retirement Plan contributions
How to Enroll
- Review Benefits Guide: Check your email for the annual benefits guide
- Log into UKG: Access the benefits enrollment portal
- Complete Enrollment: Click 'Benefits' > 'Open Enrollment'
- Review Current Coverage: See what you're currently enrolled in
- Make Changes: Add, modify, or waive coverage
- Add Dependents: Upload required documentation if adding family members
- Review Costs: See per-paycheck deductions
- Confirm Selections: Review and submit your enrollment
Important Reminders
- Action Required: You must actively enroll even if keeping the same coverage
- Failing to Enroll: If you don't complete enrollment, you'll be enrolled in the default basic plans
- Life Events: Outside of open enrollment, you can only make changes if you experience a qualifying life event
