Follow these instructions to securely reset your password and regain access to your account.
When to Reset Your Password
You should reset your password if:
- You've forgotten your current password
- Your password has expired
- You suspect your account has been compromised
- You're required to change it for security compliance
- You've been notified of suspicious activity on your account
Self-Service Password Reset
Step 1: Access the Password Reset Page
- Go to your company's login page
- Click the "Forgot Password" or "Reset Password" link
- Enter your corporate email address or username
- Click "Submit" or "Continue"
Step 2: Verify Your Identity
You'll be asked to verify your identity using one of these methods:
- Email verification code sent to your registered email
- SMS code sent to your registered phone number
- Security questions you previously set up
- Authentication app confirmation
Step 3: Create Your New Password
When creating your new password, make sure it meets these requirements:
- At least 12 characters long (or your company's minimum requirement)
- Contains uppercase and lowercase letters
- Includes at least one number
- Contains at least one special character (@, #, $, etc.)
- Is different from your previous passwords
- Doesn't contain your name, username, or common words
Step 4: Confirm and Sign In
- Enter your new password
- Re-enter it to confirm
- Click "Reset Password" or "Change Password"
- Wait for confirmation that your password has been changed
- Sign in with your new password
Password Reset Not Working?
Not Receiving Reset Email
If you don't receive the password reset email:
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Wait a few minutes, as emails may be delayed
- Verify you entered the correct email address
- Add your IT department's email domain to your safe senders list
- Try requesting another reset email
Reset Link Expired
If the reset link has expired:
- Password reset links typically expire after 24 hours
- Request a new password reset link
- Complete the reset process promptly after receiving the new link
Can't Verify Identity
If you can't complete identity verification:
- Ensure your contact information (email, phone) is up to date
- Try an alternative verification method if available
- Contact IT Support for manual verification
- You may need to verify your identity in person or through your manager
Creating a Strong Password
Best Practices
- Use a unique password that you don't use elsewhere
- Consider using a passphrase (e.g., "Coffee@Morning!2024")
- Use a password manager to store complex passwords securely
- Never share your password with anyone
- Don't write passwords down or store them in unsecured locations
What to Avoid
- Don't use personal information (birthdays, names, addresses)
- Avoid common words or sequences (password123, qwerty, abc123)
- Don't reuse old passwords
- Avoid simple patterns or keyboard walks
After Resetting Your Password
Once you've successfully reset your password:
- Update your password on all devices where you're signed in
- You may be signed out automatically from some applications
- Re-authenticate any saved credentials in your browsers or applications
- Update mobile apps with your new password
- Test your new password on different systems to ensure it works
Password Expiration Policy
Your company may require periodic password changes:
- You'll typically receive advance notice before your password expires
- Change your password before it expires to avoid account lockout
- Follow the same password requirements when updating
- You cannot reuse recent passwords
Account Locked After Failed Attempts?
If your account is locked due to too many failed password attempts:
- Wait 30 minutes and try again
- Use the self-service password reset option
- Contact IT Support if you need immediate access

- Your username or email address
- Your employee ID
- Alternative contact information for verification
- Description of the issue you're experiencing
Important: IT Support will never ask for your password. If someone asks for your password, report it immediately.
