Emergency Procedures

Fire Emergency

1. Activate nearest fire alarm
2. Evacuate immediately via nearest exit
3. Do not use elevators
4. Proceed to designated assembly area
5. Do not re-enter until cleared by fire department

Medical Emergency

1. Call 911
2. Call Security: [phone] ext. 9999
3. Stay with person until help arrives
4. Notify supervisor

Active Threat

1. Run - evacuate if safe to do so
2. Hide - lock doors, turn off lights, silence phones
3. Fight - as last resort only
4. Call 911 when safe

Evacuation Routes

• Posted on every floor near exits
• Learn two exit routes from your workspace
• Assembly points marked in parking lots
• Floor wardens assist during evacuations

First Aid

• First aid kits located in break rooms and near exits
• AED devices on each floor (marked)
• Trained first responders in each department

Reporting Hazards

Report safety hazards immediately:

• Spills or slippery floors
• Blocked exits or aisles
• Faulty equipment
• Exposed wiring
• Poor lighting
• Broken furniture

Workplace Inspections

• Monthly safety walk-throughs
• Annual fire drills
• Quarterly equipment checks
• Report concerns to supervisor or Safety Committee

Safety Training

• New hire safety orientation (required)
• Annual refresher training
• Department-specific training as needed
